Swiss soprano Franziska Andrea Heinzen holds degrees with honours from the music universities of Zürich and Düsseldorf. Recent engagements include Annio (La clemenza di Tito/Mozart) for the theatre of Trier and Ulm, Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro/Mozart) at the theatre of Hagen as well as various freelance productions like the world premier of the opera „Liquid Crystal Display“ by Mouthon or Glucks Euridice in Switzerland. In addition, Franziska is a passionate interpreter of oratorios from the Baroque period, Mozarts Requiem and Haydns Creation to Mahlers IV. Symphony as well as contemporary chamber music. Among others, she performed chamber music works by Dieter Schnebel at the Mozartfest Würzburg. Franziska is a Britten-Pears Young Artist, and scholar of the Richard Wagner Verband Dortmund. In 2017 she was awarded the music endowment award of the canton Wallis in Switzerland and is currently supported by MusikPro Valais. Passionate for the Lied she founded the annually returning „Rhonefestival für Liedkunst“ in her home city Brig/Valais.
